This is the second issue of the bilingual online magazine চিত্ত-চেতনা. In the first issue we had a few new writers who contributed. In this issue many of them have returned, thankfully.

Since the Hamas attack on Israel and the consequential hit back by Israel in Gaza, causing unthinkable sufferings, deaths and total mayhem – cannot be described in mere words.

It is often told that a picture is worth a thousand words. The above image is just one example of what is currently going on in Gaza. The heart breaking fact is that the most vulnerable – the children – are dying in droves as the world watches this murderous revenge plot unfolding.
Will we ever see a peaceful ending to this decades long bloody struggle of Palestinians to have their own state? I for one is losing hope after seeing this devastation going on for most of my life.
